Roland - XP-80

Made in Japan. Late 1990s. One of the great workstation keyboards. Extensive professional features, superb quality PCM sounds, sequencing, effects and more. **EXPORT VERSION - Still set to 100 VOLTS but internal tap on power transformer can be switched to 240V* VERSION** SOLD AS IS - Whilst this unit is free from the red glue issue, it produces no sound. This is all but certainly caused by capacitor degradation on the main board. Visual inspection shows typical leakage (very common in this era from Roland SMD electrolytic capacitors) from at least half of the 49 capacitors populating the board. This corrosion is minor to the eye but has already breached at least one through-connection between the top and bottom circuit trace. (IE, fixing this board is not impossible but requires a LOT of inspection time finding and bridging broken circuit trace; this is in addition to the delicate replacement of all 49 SMD capacitors).
