The Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV includes a pair of 12’’ Celestion® A-Type speakers, which provide powerful, well-balanced output with smooth highs, laid-back midrange and full, round lows. The modified preamp circuitry improves overdriven note definition, so you'll have sonic clarity no matter how hard you push this amp. The onboard spring reverb has been modified to add smoothness, so you still get rich, shimmering tone, no matter how much reverb you use. The updated aesthetics include a lightweight pine cabinet, improved control panel texture and graphics, ivory pointer knobs, steel-reinforced strap handle and lightly-aged silver grille cloth, giving it the unmistakable look you can only get from a Fender amp. Vintage 1971 - Made in U.K. - Engineered by Vox founder and Circuit designer Tom Jennings and Dick Denney. After Jennings was squeezed out of Vox, he started Jennings Electronics Industries, and with Dick Denney they started producing the JV-40 which was for all intents and purposes identical to the 1965-1968 design of the Vox AC-30/6 Top Boost Models. The only differences were tube placement and the bizarre use of Organ Drawbars rather than rotary controls.

4 x EL84 Power Tubes, GZ34 Rectifier, 12AX7 Preamps and Top Boost.

This model came stock with Celestion T1096 Silver Bell AlNiCo Speakers - This example is currently loaded with 1 x Original T1096 and a replacement Goodmans AlNico (circa 1950’s/1960’s UK) which has a similar sonic response.

*The other T1096 is included but currently awaiting a specialist repair to the voice coil*

Features Tremolo and true Vibrato (foot switchable only) and Vibrato, Normal and Brilliant Channels. All components and transformers original. Footswitch is a hardwired lead (any standard latching switch will work). 240 Volts with pin adaptor on the UK style plug.
