Made in Japan, 1984-87, ‘62 Re-issue, built during Fender Japan’s early, highly regarded production years. Beautiful maple neck, with rosewood fingerboard, and traditional vintage-style hardware. The white finish has aged nicely into a pale yellow, with 2 or 3 large chips found around the edges.
Under the pickguard are black-bottom Fender Japan single-coil pickups, which are correct for mid-’80s MIJ Strats and appear original.
Hardware is vintage-style throughout, including the six-screw tremolo with stamped steel saddles, and the overall presentation suggests a guitar that has been played but not messed with. Nothing in the cavities or electronics suggests later modification.
