Vintage 1984-1987 Made in Japan - 57 Spec Reissue Bass.
The PBD-57 (as opposed to the PB-57) model was the Domestic version of the 57 reissue, and was made with a Basswood body and Japanese hardware and electronics.
These appointments would have been under appreciated in the US market at the time (hence why the PB-57 came with US pickups and hardware as well as an Alder/Ash body) but the truth is that the lightweight and resonant basswood body yields a superb woody tone, and the Japanese made pickup has all of the vintage nuance often sought in old US made Fenders.
This bass in particular feels fantastic to play.
Very good / Excellent condition for its age; plenty of fret life, minor pitting of the chrome plating on the knobs, and all original! Comes with a padded gig bag.
