Vincent Bernolin - Soprano C Recorder
Vincent BERNOLIN, Herault, France.
Resin recorder, Soprano in C, Ebony colour. Modern pitch 442Hz.
Instead of using moulds, Bernolin treats resin as a consistent alternative to wood, allowing for complex geometries without the structural risks of timber.
Every instrument is adjusted, tuned, and signed by Bernolin. Thermally treated with an exclusive process, the Cedar wooden blocks are more stable, dry faster, and offer a more authentic sound.
These instruments are modelled after historical designs, such as those by Thomas Stanesby. Body Machining: The recorder joints are turned and carved from solid blocks of ebony-coloured resin using a numerically controlled lathe and a 4-axis milling machine. This ensures high precision in the bore's variable taper and the angular position of the tone holes.
