Tortoiseshell bound nato neck joined at the 14th fret, slotted headstock, black walnut fingerboard and 4mm pearl dot inlays.
Dovetail neck joint. Double ring rosette and centre back strip. Tortoiseshell scratchplate.

“Made in Japan by Martin Guitars late, 70’s early 80’s, when Martin Guitar Co started the Sigma guitar brand. This one has DM-18 stamped inside it, so it’s basically a Martin DM-18 but built under the Sigma brand by the same company. Plays and sounds great. Well played in feel, with tone woods aged beautifully.

Shenandoah were made for Martin between '83-96 in Japan and Assembled in the US, and were famously used by David Gilmour and E. Clapton. This is a rare Japan domestic market model. Fantastic player and sound. Laminated back and sides with a solid spruce top. Rosewood board and dyed rosewood bridge with diamond snowflake inlays, narrow frets and open back tuners. Recently fret dressed and setup with 12-53s. *pickup output not wired in w/ hard case.
