Kay - K-36 / 6436 Super Grand Auditorium

MSS120037

Regular price $1,099.00

Vintage Kay K-36 Super Grand Auditorium acoustic archtop, made in Chicago, USA, circa late 1940s/early 1950s. Features a mahogany body with bound top and back, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, adjustable wooden bridge and trapeze tailpiece.

A great example of Kay's post-war American archtops, with a wonderfully dry, woody acoustic character well suited to blues, jazz and roots playing.

This example has recently received a full refret and a new set of tuners, making it a considerably more practical player than many surviving examples. The original pickguard is no longer present. With hardcase.
