H.S.Anderson - Strider ST-70N/M

Exceptionally rare 1976 H.S. Anderson Strider, built in Japan by Moridaira and personally signed internally by M. Shinoda. One of only a tiny team of craftsmen responsible for H.S. Anderson's original high-end production, Shinoda also built the original Mad Cat guitars - the legendary Japanese design that became Prince's signature instrument in Hohner-badged form. This Strider comes directly from that same small workshop, built by the same craftsman

This example dates to July 1976, with factory date code 706791 and a handwritten M. Shinoda 76.7.15 marking on the neck, along with a matching Shinoda signature in the body. The ST70M/N designation denotes the Natural/Maple configuration, with a natural-finished Ash body, one-piece maple neck and fingerboard, large CBS-style headstock and vintage six-screw tremolo.

The guitar remains original aside from the pickups & pots (3 way switch is original). It is currently fitted with a Seymour Duncan SSL-2 neck pickup, unidentified replacement middle single coil and Seymour Duncan SSL-1R bridge pickup.

Includes the ultra-rare, original 1976 Keiyo factory pickups in the case. Note: Two are currently reading dead and will require a standard rewind to restore to factory.
