Made in Gibson's Bozeman, Montana acoustic facility, this 2007 Gibson Songwriter Deluxe EC is an earlier Ovangkol version of Gibson's cutaway square-shoulder dreadnought.
It features a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and ebony bridge. The guitar is appointed with mother-of-pearl split-parallelogram fingerboard inlays, an abalone rosette, multi-ply body binding, tortoise-style pickguard and gold Grover Rotomatic tuners.
Factory electronics are the Fishman-designed Gibson Prefix Plus-T system, with onboard volume, bass, contour, treble and brilliance controls, adjustable notch filter, phase switch and built-in tuner.
