Gibson - Les Paul ‘59 Prehistoric Standard

MSS120156

Regular price $11,195.00

Made in USA. 1988. Before Custom Shop re-issues there were the Prehistoric Series from 1983-1993. This is a beautiful guitar in excellent condition for it’s age. **There is a crack in one pickup surround**. Flamed maple top. Medium jumbo frets are original and evenly worn. Musically it is in a very good place and doesn’t need a fret dress but it has been a player’s guitar. Machine heads are the original period correct Kluson style. Featuring unbranded pickups that are likely to be early 80s Seymour Duncans. Stamped baseplates started around 1987. This guitar has been 1 owner for about 20 years when it was purchased from Gallins guitars. Accompanying the guitar at time of purchase was a photo of Con Gallin with Seymour Duncan holding what looks like this guitar. There is also a magazine article with Seymour holding a guitar that could be this guitar. It’s impossible to say for sure. 4.2 kg. w/ 1990s Gibson Hard Case, guitar magazines with SD related and print of photo mentioned above
