Fender Deluxe 5B3 TV Front Tweed Amplifier - c.1951-52
An exceptionally early Fender Deluxe 5B3 from the original TV Front tweed era, serial #5465. Built in Fullerton, California, this model predates the later wide-panel and narrow-panel Deluxe designs.
Features a 12 inch vintage Jensen speaker and the early octal valve configuration of 2 x 6SC7, 2 x 6V6GT and 1 x 5Y3GT, with separate Instrument and Microphone volume controls and a shared Tone control.
The original Fender tube chart identifies the amplifier as Model 5B3. Serial #5465 places it around the 1951–52 period, so we have conservatively dated it circa 1951–52.
