Gretsch - Chet Atkins Tennessean 7655
'74 - Made in USA. 7655 - Baldwin era, made in the Booneville plant. New Sperzal locking tuners installed and a plastic nut. The original tuners are included. Made after the Booneville plant fire of '73, the serial/model label was actually meant for their drum kits, this was only done for a short time. Gibson - 1969 Southern Jumbo
Square shoulder jumbo. Tobacco Sunburst.
Made in Kalamazoo factory USA early 1969.
Spruce top, Mahogany back, sides and neck,
Rosewood fingerboard with 43mm nut width.
Top, back and fretboard binding, split parallelogram mother of pearl inlay.
Ceramic adjustable saddle, ‘belly down’ Rosewood bridge.
Has a lot of checking and crazing in the lacquer and some chips out of the lacquer on one shoulder, top layer of headstock inlays have crumbled away.
Historical refret is now at probably 80%. Repaired split in the back approx. 10cm long. There is slight lifting of the original cellulose pickguard, but it hasn’t damaged the top.
A piezo pickup has been added.
With original Gibson case.
