The EMG-89 is an active pickup that combines two separate pickup voices in one housing: a full EMG humbucker (similar to the EMG 85) and a single-coil mode based on the EMG SA. It uses a switch or push/pull pot to select between humbucker and single-coil operation, offering both high-output active tones and cleaner single-coil character in one unit. This is an early soldered version (pre quick-connect)
