Crafted in Japan Stratocaster built between 1997 and 2000. Reissue of the 1971 vintage strat, it features a large headstock, three-bolt neck plate with bullet truss rod, and ash body finished in natural gloss, Weight 3.66kgs.

Factory-fitted with Texas Special single-coil pickups, this model delivers bright, articulate tone with plenty of midrange bite and dynamic response — a hallmark of late-’90s Fender Japan builds. The U-shaped maple neck with 7.25 inch radius and vintage frets provide authentic early-’70s feel.

Factory-equipped with Custom Shop Twisted Tele (neck) and Broadcaster (bridge) pickups, delivering a perfect blend of vintage snap and modern clarity. The 2012 revision includes bent-steel saddles, thinner undercoat for improved resonance, and a high-mass bridge plate for sustain and stability. Has some minor fret wear.

Fender Stratocaster STR-85R (Made in Japan, 1987 - 88)

Rare late-’80s Fujigen-built model that predates the US Strat Plus, featuring one of the first factory sets of Fender Lace Sensor pickups. It has a basswood body, maple neck with rosewood board, Gotoh tuners, and a two-point pivot tremolo. Finished in translucent black with white guard, this short-run domestic model marks an important step in Fender’s evolution.

Collector’s note: The STR-85R series is considered a direct predecessor to the American Strat Plus, sharing its pickup design and modern hardware layout more than a year before US production adopted them.
