Greco - SE-500 Super Sounds

This is a 1978 Greco SE-500 Super Sounds Stratocaster, made in Japan during Grecos late-1970s production period. The SE-500 sits in the mid-tier of the Super Sounds range and follows traditional Stratocaster styling with a 25.5 inch scale length, bolt-on maple neck, and vintage-style body contours. Bodies from this period are commonly documented as ash (often sen ash).

This example is fitted with its original Excel single-coil pickups, a well-regarded Japanese pickup used on many Greco models of the era, known for clear, articulate Strat tones. The electronics have been updated, with all original pots replaced by Alpha potentiometers and an Orange Drop capacitor. Wiring remains standard Strat configuration with a 5-way selector, master volume, and two tone controls.

The bridge is not original and has been replaced with a more modern tremolo unit, offering improved stability compared to the stock late-70s hardware. Other hardware and fittings remain consistent with period Greco specifications.

Overall Condition: Fair (Multiple dings on the body, see photos)

Repair notes: Has had all pots and cap replaced. Non original bridge.

Aria Pro II - PE-R100 *LEFT HANDED*

Vintage Aria Pro II PE-R100 in a rare left-handed configuration, originally produced in Japan during Arias classic early-80s Matsumoku era. This model was part of Arias premium PE series in the 1982 catalog, featuring a single-cutaway body with carved top, set neck construction.

The guitar sports a transparent cherry sunburst finish with cream binding, sculpted mahogany body with a carved maple top, and a set neck with multi-stripe. The rosewood fingerboard has the distinctive PE block/triangle inlay pattern seen on early PE-R100 examples.

Electronics on this example have been modified: it is fitted with non-original Tokai humbuckers rather than the factory Aria humbuckers. PE layout with two volume knobs, two tone knobs, 2 coil split switches and three-position pickup selector.

Hardware includes a Tune-O-Matic style bridge and trapeze tailpiece, plus Aria-branded tuners. The left-handed PE-R100 is significantly harder to find than right-handed examples, making this a standout choice for left-handed players looking for a quality vintage Japanese electric with great playability and unique presence.

Overall Condition: Good. A few minor dings here and there, nothing major. Some pitting on the tuning pegs.

Repair notes: New trapeze tail piece, New Nashville posts, New pickup surrounds, New input plate,3 way toggle, 4 new CTS pots, 2 x orange drop caps and new coil split switches. Non original Tokai pickups.

Ibanez - RG1522-05 Prestige

The Ibanez RG1522-05 is a Japanese-built Prestige model produced at the Fujigen factory in 2004. The RG1522 was part of Ibanezs early-2000s Prestige lineup and is a hardtail RG, distinct from the tremolo-equipped RG1550/1570 models of the same era.

It is fitted with Ibanezs Wizard Prestige 5-piece maple neck, bolt-on with the AANJ heel for excellent upper-fret access. The rosewood fingerboard carries jumbo frets and a 25.5 inch scale length.

Hardware consists of a fixed hardtail bridge and Gotoh tuners. Electronics are laid out with a simple 1 volume, 1 tone, and 5-way selector.

Pickup configuration includes the original Ibanez V7 in the neck position, with the bridge pickup upgraded to a DiMarzio Tone Zone (DP155). The Tone Zone is a popular aftermarket choice, offering higher output, strong mids, and a thicker lead tone compared to the stock Ibanez V8 it originally shipped with.

Overall, the RG1522-05 is a stripped-back Prestige RG that prioritises playability, reliability, and tone. A great example of early-2000s Japanese Ibanez quality.
