The Akai 1720 is equipped with a 4-track stereo/monaural recording and playback system, 2 heads, automatic shut-off, self lubricating 2-speed induction motor, tape selector switch, pause control and public address convertibility. Motor works, heads untested.

Vintage (1985 - 2010’s) era MD441U - The legendary Dynamic Supercardioid microphone known for its ability to deliver results comparable to quality Condenser Microphones (in terms of detail and clarity). Features standard XLR connection (post 1985) but with a silver / raw metal socket (which dates it to earlier than current production).
Tested and fully functional. 5 Position Attenuation ring control working well; treble cut switch working but plastic housing slightly damaged and held in place with gaffer tape. 1 x Grill around the capsule is loose and currently held in place with gaffer tape.
Cosmetic issues only and an easy fix for anyone keen.
