*SOLD AS IS* No 16 Foot in Organ - No 16 Foot in Square and Triangle in Poly Synth (likely related). - No Release function via ADSR (sustain works) in Poly Synth. *Playing E4 and F#4 together as a chord causes F#4 to detune - playing them in quick succession first allows you to sneak the chord in without tuning issue; this points to an issues with the Key Assigner Chip.  Unit is surprisingly clean inside and seemingly free of corrosion. Possibly just needs a couple of new caps and chips. *Sold as is - project for repair*.

VZ-1 uses Phase Distortion for ring modulation and waveform generation but true Frequency Modulation Synthesis to generate harmonics. The end result is a unique and hauntingly space-age sounding synthesizer with many smooth twangy textures - but it can also be very harsh and noisy when complex phasing is employed.
