A true traditional Bandoneon - Purchased in Buenos Aires in the February 2005 - Vintage 1960s ~ 1970s ish - Argentinean Made clone of an Alfred Arnold style Bandoneon. Potentially built using parts from an Original AA model, but this is just speculation. Plays true and has no issues with the bellows. An incredibly rare and highly sought after instrument that is core to the Argentinean Tango sound.
Originally intended as a instrument to accompany visiting missionaries from Germany, the Bandoneon was repurposed and transformed into a core component of Argentinean identity through the unique music that was made with it.

Made in Saxony, Germany, 1908 - 1925. The Mezon brand was patented in 1903 and invented for the Australian market in Melbourne. There was a choice of three styles. The Organ, The Wonder and The Grand Organ. They came with a Fibre Case with Lock and Key and a Leather Handle.

This Grand Organ is in remarkable condition for it’s age. Bellows work wonderfully, no tears or rips. One of the locking metal strips is missing, which is used to lock the bellows when not in use. Comes with the original case, which is also in excellent condition.
