THE Legendary Hifi Speakers that shattered the prevailing 'brown wood' aesthetic with their slick black monolithic vibe.
Infamous for their revolutionary use of Beryllium Dome tweeters that yielded a clarity and depth that would be otherwise attenuated and unheard.
Rated at a conservative 50 Watt nominal operation (per side) with a peak input of 100 watts (per side), 8ohms.
The 12" Woofer has excellent Bass Frequency headroom and packs a very tight powerful punch. When using a flat response power amplifier, the cabinet's construction naturally rolls off bass response as it nears the 40hz mark, but when used with a Hifi Amp with Tone controls, it is extremely capable of executing rich round low subs by boosting the low end in the EQ, without compromising the overall performance.
The Mid Range and Hi-Freq Driver/Tweeters both feature their own attenuators, which are rotary 'resistor array' potentiometers (no carbon track, but a series of discrete resistors in parallel with a rolling notched taper); such construction ensures a perfect and reliable signal path for tapering the response of said drivers.

Bass - Tromba. Pitch ribbon: Slide Trombone, Squawk, Birds, Astro. The upper keyboard has 61keys, and the lower manual has 42 Treble keys and 19(!?!) Bass keys which can be switched to extend the Treble section. Note that in addition to the fact that the pitch ribbon is NOT the same as the portamento strip n the YC-30, it's function is also different. Rather than the plain flute voices, it controls the Slide Trombone, Squawk, Birds and Astro voices. Slide Trombone and Squawk are bright organ-like voices, Birds sounds like chirping, and Astro is sort of a ring-modulator effect. The range of the pitch ribbon is 3 octaves. Physically, the GW10 is both compact and robust, powered from an external (supplied) mains adaptor. The effects offered by the unit are divided into three blocks, with two of these being further sub‑divided into different effects. Each effect has three variable parameters, each parameter controlled by a separate knob, and a matrix of printed parameter names and status LEDs beneath these knobs make it easy to get around.
